Enjoy
a night out playing cards with friendly people in a friendly
atmosphere. It's FREE to play so when you bust out,
you've lost nothing! Whether you're a skilled pro or just want
to learn the game you see all over TV, this league is for you.
How the league works:
Participating locations will conduct a series of weekly
FREE
poker tournaments (for xx weeks) to determine the
top
players (usually top 20% in points) who advance to playoff events. The
championship events are exciting tournaments featuring the
best-of-the-best players (usually less than 150 players).
All tournaments are always 100% free-to-play. The
championship tournament is usually held at a casino partner in
Minnesota, or a different venue out of state. All players qualifying for these events
will have won their seats during league play.

 Winter/Spring
Championship Leagues (12 weeks).
This is the big one! A total of
6 grand
prize packages will be given away in the network, 2 in
the Nebraska Poker League. Event packages include
airfare and travel accommodations, plus buy-in to $1,500 event at
the 2007 World Series of Poker. League champions will also
receive a “League Champion” T-Shirt & Medallion at the final event.
The overall champions will have an unbelievable opportunity to win
fame & fortune in the richest poker tournament in the world this
summer at the Rio in Las Vegas…

Poker Tour - Bellagio
 “Blast
at the Bellagio” - December & January Leagues (ONLY 6 weeks).
This
contest sends 3 players to the Bellagio in Las Vegas
in April ($1,500 entry, airfare & hotel accommodations for two, plus
$500 spending cash) to play in the fifth annual Five Star World
Poker Classic at the Bellagio. Minnesota Poker League
players will have the potential to win as many as 2 out of the 3
grand prizes up for grabs! Grand prize winners have a chance to win
big money as well as a seat
into the 2007 World Poker Tour Championship at the Bellagio valued
at $25,000!

Poker Tour - Bahamas
Fall
Championship Leagues (10 weeks).
This is our big fall promotion, a 10 week
league to send a total of three players (one each from
Minnesota, Dakotas, and Nebraska) to Atlantis
Resort in the Bahamas (January) to play in the World Poker
Tour. League founder Brook Lyter placed 2nd in this
tournament in 2006! League champions earn medallion.
Nebraska Poker League champ Jeff Merrill from Columbus won this
package last fall...

“Summer Poker Challenge”
– In 2007 we will run two separate
6 week contests culminating in 2 championship events at the end of
the summer (all leagues in network)...Event #1 will be a minimum $10,000
Freeroll event and Event #2 is to be determined ($10k value
at least). As a bonus, we’ll be giving away
a Sony Playstation 3 game system in a “perfect
attendance drawing” to encourage attendance, and a second prize to
be announced. This contest gives
players the opportunity to win cold hard CASH…
